On March 14, participants in the World Bank’s Code for Resilience Online Innovation Challenge become eligible to be paired with mentors—experts in various aspects of technology, business development and design who will offer input and feedback on app development. Code for Resilience partners local technologists with disaster risk management experts to catalyze software and hardware innovations that improve communities’ ability to address challenges around natural disasters. Developers will address community-defined problem statements at various events around the world, beginning in February 2014.
